CHARLOTTE COTTAGE, 2022

This heritage-listed 1885 worker’s cottage was completely reimagined — transformed into a modern home while respectfully honouring its historic roots. The design blends old-world charm with contemporary refinement, featuring Italian travertine, bronze accents, and soaring steel-framed doors and windows. A layered palette of colour, texture, and natural light brings warmth and character to a clean, timeless interior that bridges past and present with effortless elegance.

Achievements: Charlotte Cottage by Curation Design Studio was showcased in The Local Project in 2025 and, in 2024, earned national recognition on the Channel 9 Network as Australia’s Best House, winning the award for ‘Best Period Renovation under $500K’. These features celebrate the project’s thoughtful balance of heritage character and contemporary design, highlighting our approach to creating timeless, carefully considered interiors.
